PAYMENT & BOOKING TERMS

Your wedding reservation is confirmed only once payment in full has been successfully received.
- Full payment is required at the time of booking.
- All payments are nonrefundable, except where otherwise required by law.
- Available payment methods will be displayed securely during checkout.
- Once payment is completed, your wedding date and time are officially reserved.

Plans can change, and we understand that. Because each wedding date and time is specifically reserved, the following policies apply:
- 72+ Hours Before Your Wedding: Rescheduling requests made at least 72 hours before your scheduled wedding time may transfer your payment to a new available date or time.
- New Date & Time Availability: Rescheduling is always subject to availability. If your preferred new date or time is already booked, you will need to select another available option.
- Unable to Select Another Date: If available alternatives are offered but you are unable or choose not to select one, the reservation will be treated as a cancellation and payments already made will not be refunded.
- Less Than 72 Hours: Once your wedding is less than 72 hours away, rescheduling is no longer available.
- Cancellations: All payments are nonrefundable, except where otherwise required by law.
- Package or Price Changes: If you move to a different package, add guests, extend your reservation, or select an option with a higher price, the difference must be paid before the wedding.

Your selected package determines your reserved time, guest capacity, and included wedding experience. To help every wedding run smoothly and on schedule, the following policies apply:
- Package Guest Limits: Each package has a maximum guest capacity. 'JUST US' is for the couple only, 'FAMILY & FRIENDS' allows up to 10 guests, and 'THE CELEBRATION' allows up to 20 guests.
- Additional Guests: Guest counts above the limit of your selected package must be approved in advance and may require an upgrade to a higher package or Custom Experience.
- Reserved Experience Time: Your package includes a specific reservation period. Standard packages include either a 1-hour or 2-hour wedding experience, depending on the package selected.
- Additional Time: Extra time is not automatically available on the wedding day. Any request for additional time must be arranged in advance and is subject to availability and additional charges.
- Package Inclusions: Services, access, keepsakes, guest allowances, and other benefits are limited to those specifically included with the package purchased. Items or services not included may require an additional charge.
- Package Changes: Requests to upgrade or modify your package must be made in advance and are subject to availability. Any applicable difference in price must be paid before the wedding.
- Custom Requests: Larger guest counts, extended reservations, or experiences outside our standard packages may be accommodated through a Custom Experience and require a custom quote.
- Accurate Guest Count: Couples are responsible for providing an accurate guest count before the wedding. Entry cannot be guaranteed for guests beyond the maximum number permitted by the confirmed package.
HOUSE RULES & POLICIES

To help every wedding run smoothly, safely, and on time, we ask all couples and guests to follow the house rules below while visiting Married in Miami.
- Arrive On Time: Wedding experiences are scheduled in reserved time slots. Late arrival may reduce the amount of time available for your ceremony, photos, and celebration. (We recommend arriving at least 1 hour before your confirmed reservation time.)
- Respect Your Reserved Time: Couples and guests must conclude their experience within the time included with the selected package unless additional time has been arranged in advance.
- Guest Limits: The number of guests attending must remain within the maximum capacity of your confirmed package. Additional guests must be approved in advance.
- No Outside Food or Beverages: Outside food and beverages are not permitted inside the chapel.
- No Alcohol: Alcoholic beverages are not permitted on the premises. Any beverage service specifically included with a package will be non-alcoholic.

- Respectful Conduct: Couples and guests are expected to behave respectfully toward our staff, officiants, other guests, and the chapel at all times.
- Personal Belongings: All personal items, decorations, gifts, and belongings must be removed when your reserved experience ends.
Right to Refuse or Discontinue Service
Married in Miami reserves the right to refuse, withdraw, or discontinue service when a couple or guest engages in disruptive, threatening, abusive, unsafe, or inappropriate conduct, refuses to follow chapel policies, or arrives in attire that violates communicated chapel standards. We also reserve the right to require any individual creating an unsafe or disruptive environment to leave the premises.

REQUIREMENTS TO GET MARRIED IN MIAMI
Do we need a marriage license to get married in Miami?
Yes. To be legally married in Florida, you must obtain a valid Florida marriage license before your ceremony. Married in Miami can perform your wedding ceremony, but we do not issue the marriage license. Florida law requires the officiant to have a valid marriage license before performing the marriage.

Miami-Dade Marriage License Information
Online Marriage License Pre-Application
Florida Marriage Laws — Chapter 741
Where and how do we get a Florida marriage license?
You can obtain your marriage license through the Miami-Dade County Clerk of the Court or another Florida county clerk. A Florida marriage license may be used anywhere in the State of Florida, regardless of which Florida county issued it. In Miami-Dade, couples can complete the online marriage-license pre-application first and then visit a Marriage License Bureau or District Court location. Both applicants must be present when applying.
What identification do we need to obtain a marriage license?
Both applicants must present valid federal or state government-issued photo identification showing their correct legal name, date of birth, and signature. Accepted identification includes a driver’s license, passport, U.S. military ID, alien registration card, state-issued identification card, or original naturalization certificate. U.S. citizens and residents must also provide their Social Security number. If either person was previously married, the exact date of the most recent divorce, death, or annulment must also be provided.
Is there a waiting period before we can get married?
For Florida residents, there is normally a three-day waiting period before the marriage license becomes effective. That waiting period can be waived when the couple completes OUR qualifying four-hour premarital preparation course and then present the required completion certificate when applying for the license. Non-Florida residents are exempt from the three-day waiting period.
How long is a Florida marriage license valid?
A Florida marriage license is valid for 60 days from the date it is issued. Your ceremony must take place on or after the license’s effective date and before its expiration date. If the license expires before the ceremony, a new license must be obtained.
What do we need to bring with us on our wedding day?
Most importantly, bring your valid Florida marriage license. Your officiant must have the license in order to legally perform and complete the marriage ceremony. We also recommend bringing your government-issued photo identification and any other documents Married in Miami specifically requests in your pre-wedding instructions.
THE PREMARITAL COURSE
What is the Premarital Course?
The Married in Miami Premarital Course is a convenient 4–hour online course designed to help couples prepare for marriage while meeting Florida’s requirements for a qualifying premarital preparation course. Topics include communication, conflict management, financial responsibilities, and other important areas of married life.
After successfully completing the course, you will receive a Certificate of Completion to present when applying for your Florida marriage license. Florida law recognizes courses delivered through electronic media, allowing the course to be completed online.
Is the Premarital Course required to get married in Florida?
No. Completing a Premarital Course is not required to get married in Florida.
However, Florida residents who do not complete a qualifying course are generally subject to a three-day waiting period before their marriage license becomes effective. Couples who provide valid completion certificates can have that waiting period waived and may also receive a reduction in the marriage license fee.
How long does the Premarital Course take?
The Married in Miami Premarital Course takes approximately 4 hours to complete, satisfying Florida’s minimum four-hour requirement for a qualifying premarital preparation course.
Because the course is offered online, you can complete it conveniently through the Married in Miami website without attending an in-person class.
Can we complete the Premarital Course online?
Yes. The Married in Miami Premarital Course is offered completely online.
Florida law specifically recognizes premarital instruction delivered through an electronic medium, allowing qualifying courses to be completed online rather than in a traditional classroom.
You can complete the course conveniently from your computer, tablet, or other compatible device.
Does the course waive Florida’s 3-day waiting period?
Yes, for qualifying Florida residents.
Florida residents are generally subject to a three-day waiting period before a marriage license becomes effective. When a couple presents valid certificates showing completion of a qualifying premarital preparation course, the three-day waiting period is waived.
Non-Florida residents are already exempt from the three-day waiting period.
Does completing the course reduce the marriage license fee?
Yes. In Miami-Dade County, the current marriage license fee is $86. Couples who qualify for the premarital course discount currently pay $61, saving $25.
You must present the required Certificate of Completion when applying for the marriage license in order to receive the applicable course benefits.
Current Miami-Dade fees and requirements:
https://www.miamidadeclerk.gov/clerk/marriage-licenses.page
Do both of us need to complete the course?
Yes. If you want to receive the benefits associated with completing the Premarital Course as a couple, both applicants should complete the course (same course and online session for both as its based on just 1 login) and have their completion properly documented.
Florida law allows couples to complete the course together or separately, and each individual completing the course receives documentation verifying completion.
Married in Miami will provide your course completion documentation after the course requirements have been successfully completed.
What do we receive after completing the course?
After successfully completing the Married in Miami Premarital Course, you will receive a Certificate of Completion documenting that you completed the qualifying course.
Florida requires the certificate to identify the participant, completion date, and method of instruction. The certificate is then presented when applying for your marriage license so the Clerk can apply the appropriate course benefits.
When should we complete the course?
We recommend completing the Premarital Course before applying for your marriage license.
This allows you to present your Certificate of Completion when you submit your marriage license application and receive any benefits for which you qualify.
For the marriage license fee reduction, Florida law requires the qualifying course to have been completed no more than one year before the marriage license application date.
Do non-Florida residents need to take the Premarital Course?
No. Non-Florida residents are exempt from Florida’s three-day marriage license waiting period, so taking the course is not necessary for the purpose of eliminating that waiting period.
Non-Florida residents may still choose to complete the Married in Miami Premarital Course for its marriage-preparation benefits and, when eligible, applicable marriage-license fee benefits.

HOW TO BOOK YOUR WEDDING
How do we book our wedding with Married in Miami?
Booking your wedding is simple and can be completed directly through our Booking Page.
Select your wedding package, choose your preferred date, select an available 1-hour or 2-hour reservation time based on your package, enter the requested information, and make the required payment.
Once your payment and reservation are successfully completed, you will receive your booking confirmation with your confirmed wedding date and time.
Do we choose our wedding package when we book?
Yes. Your wedding package is selected as part of the online booking process.
Choose from Just Us, Family & Friends, or The Celebration and then select from the reservation times available for that package.
Your package determines your guest capacity, included services and benefits, and whether your private chapel reservation is for 1-hour or 2-hours.
Couples interested in The Custom Experience should contact Married in Miami for a custom quote and arrangements.
How do we select our wedding date and time?
Visit our Booking Page, select your wedding package, and use the online calendar to view available dates and times.
Depending on the package selected, you will choose an available 1-hour or 2-hour time slot for your private wedding experience at the Official Married in Miami Chapel.
Only available reservation times will be displayed. Once you select your date and time and complete the required payment, your reservation will be confirmed.
Do we need our marriage license before making a reservation?
No. You do not need to have your Florida marriage license before booking your wedding with Married in Miami.
You may reserve your wedding package, date, and time through our Booking Page before obtaining your marriage license. However, you are responsible for obtaining a valid Florida marriage license that is effective on your scheduled wedding date.
If you book a wedding and later fail to obtain the required marriage license, your reservation will not be refunded. Married in Miami cannot legally perform the marriage ceremony without a valid marriage license, and failure to obtain the license does not qualify for a refund.
We strongly recommend completing your Premarital Course and marriage-license requirements well before your scheduled wedding date.
How far in advance should we book our wedding?
We recommend booking as soon as you know when you would like to get married.
Our Booking Page displays real-time available wedding dates and reservation time slots, and popular dates and times may become unavailable as other couples book them.
Booking early also gives you plenty of time to complete your Premarital Course, obtain your marriage license, and prepare for your wedding day.
Can we book a wedding on short notice?
Yes. Short-notice weddings may be possible whenever an appropriate reservation time is available.
Visit our Booking Page to see the currently available dates and time slots. If an available reservation works for you, you can select your package, choose the time, make payment, and receive your confirmation online.
You must still have a valid Florida marriage license that is effective on the date of your ceremony.
When is our wedding reservation officially confirmed?
Your wedding reservation is confirmed after you complete the booking process and the required Full Payment is successfully received.
During checkout on our Booking Page, you will select your package, date, and available time slot and make the applicable payment.
Once the transaction and booking are completed, you will receive a confirmation of your reservation.
What information do we need to provide when booking?
Our Booking Page will guide you through the information required to complete your reservation.
You will provide information such as the couple’s names, contact information, selected wedding package, wedding date and time, and other details needed to prepare your experience.
You will also complete the required payment directly through the Booking Page.
After booking, Married in Miami may request additional information related to your marriage license, Premarital Course completion, guest count, or other details necessary for your wedding.
Can we upgrade or change our wedding package after booking?
Yes, you may request a package upgrade or other change after booking, subject to availability.
Because packages have different guest limits and 1-hour or 2-hour reservation periods, changing your package may also require changing your wedding time slot.
Any additional amount due must be paid before the wedding, and changes cannot be guaranteed if the necessary chapel time is no longer available.
For that reason, we recommend selecting the package that best fits your plans when you make your original reservation.
What if we want something that is not included in the standard packages?
That is what The Custom Experience is designed for.
If you need a larger guest count, extended chapel time, special arrangements, or an experience that does not fit within our standard 1-hour or 2-hour reservations, contact Married in Miami to discuss what you have in mind.
Custom Experiences are based on availability and require a custom quote and reservation arrangement.
YOUR WEDDING DAY
What should we expect when we arrive at the Married in Miami Chapel?
When you arrive at the Official Married in Miami Chapel, our team will confirm your reservation and make sure everything is ready for your wedding experience.
You will have time to get settled, review any final details, and prepare before your ceremony begins. Your wedding experience will then take place according to the package and reservation time you selected.
Our goal is to keep the process organized, relaxed, and memorable from the moment you arrive until the moment you leave as newlyweds.
How early should we arrive before our scheduled wedding time?
We recommend arriving at least 1-hour before your confirmed reservation time.
Arriving early gives you time to check in, take care of any final details, get comfortable, and make sure everyone in your party is ready before your scheduled wedding experience begins.
Your reserved 1-hour or 2-hour wedding period begins at the confirmed time, so arriving early helps ensure you receive the full experience you booked.
What do we need to bring with us on our wedding day?
Most importantly, you must bring your valid Florida marriage license.
Without a valid marriage license that is effective on your wedding date, Married in Miami cannot legally perform your marriage ceremony.
We also recommend bringing government-issued photo identification and any other documentation or information requested in your wedding confirmation or pre-wedding instructions.
How long will our wedding experience last?
Your wedding experience will last for the amount of time included with the package you reserved.
Depending on your package, your private chapel reservation will generally be either 1-hour or 2-hours.
That reserved time may include your ceremony, marriage-license signing, photos, Selfie Suite access, celebration time, and other benefits included with your package.
Custom Experiences may include longer reservation periods when arranged in advance.
What happens if we arrive late?
Because weddings are scheduled in reserved time slots, arriving late may reduce the amount of time available for your ceremony, photos, Selfie Suite experience, or other activities included with your package.
Your reservation cannot automatically be extended because another wedding may be scheduled afterward.
For this reason, we strongly recommend arriving at least 1-hour before your confirmed reservation time.
Will our ceremony be private?
Yes. Your Married in Miami wedding is a private chapel experience during your confirmed reservation period.
The chapel is reserved for you and the guests included with your package, along with Married in Miami staff and any approved vendors or professionals involved in your wedding.
You will not be sharing your ceremony with another couple at the same time or space.
Can we personalize our ceremony or exchange our own vows?
Yes. Couples may personalize certain parts of their ceremony, including exchanging their own vows.
If you have a specific reading, vow, ceremony request, or other personal element you would like included, please let Married in Miami know before your wedding day so we can confirm that it can be accommodated within your ceremony and reserved time.
We want your wedding to feel personal while still keeping the experience smooth and organized.
What should we wear to our wedding?
That is entirely up to you.
Some couples may choose traditional wedding attire, while others may prefer something more casual, modern, or uniquely their own.
We encourage you to dress in a way that makes your wedding feel special and reflects who you are as a couple, while following any chapel attire standards communicated before your wedding.
When will our marriage license be signed?
Your marriage license will be completed and signed by the officiant as part of your wedding ceremony.
You are responsible for obtaining a valid Florida marriage license before your wedding and bringing it with you on the wedding day.
Before the ceremony, you are responsible for reviewing the information on your marriage license and making sure the personal information provided to the Clerk is accurate.
The officiant will complete and sign the portion of the marriage license required after the marriage ceremony and will transmit the completed marriage license to the appropriate Clerk’s office as required by Florida law.
What happens after our ceremony is finished?
After you say “I Do,” the rest of your reserved wedding time can be used for the activities included with your package.
Depending on your package, this may include couple and family photos, group photos, access to the Married in Miami Selfie Suite, a non-alcoholic sparkling toast, keepsake moments, or additional celebration time.
All activities must conclude within your confirmed reservation period unless additional time has been arranged in advance.
At the end of your experience, you leave the chapel as officially married newlyweds, with the ceremony, paperwork, and memories all handled under one roof.
